Pure Brief AI
Privacy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
Pure Brief AI is built so that your meetings never need to leave your Mac. This page explains what the app and this website do with data.
Who is responsible
Pure Brief AI is made and sold by Yevhenii Svistunov, an individual, Gagarina str. 77, Dnipro, 49000, Ukraine. Yevhenii Svistunov is the controller of the personal data described on this page. Contact: [email protected].
The app: on your Mac by default
Recordings, transcripts, notes, tasks and search are stored and processed on your Mac. In the default on-device mode no meeting audio or text is sent to us or to anyone else.
Speech recognition and notes use models that the app downloads once and runs locally.
The licence check
To keep a licence active, the app contacts our licence server at most once a day. It sends the licence key or the current lease, a fingerprint of the Mac (a SHA-256 hash of its hardware identifier, never the identifier itself), the computer’s name and the app version. Nothing about your meetings is ever included.
Without a connection the app keeps working for up to 14 days.
Services you choose to connect
Calendars (Microsoft 365, Google, Apple): the app reads your events to show upcoming meetings and to help recognise the names and terms of your calls. Sign-in tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain.
Apple Reminders: a task you add is created in the list you pick and may sync through that list’s account.
ElevenLabs transcription (off by default): if you choose it and enter your own key, the meeting audio is sent to ElevenLabs for transcription under your account with them.
This website
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other domains — until you click Buy, when Paddle’s checkout loads from paddle.com.
When you request access, we receive the details you enter (name, email, company, team size, message, plan and language) and use them only to reply to you about Pure Brief AI. They are stored with our infrastructure provider and deleted on request. When you start a trial or buy a plan, your name and email also go on your licence, which is how the app knows it may record.
Buying a licence
Orders are processed by Paddle.com, our online reseller and the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle collects payment details and handles tax, invoices and refunds under its own privacy notice; we never see card details.
From Paddle we receive your name, email address, country and what you bought, to issue your licence and to help you with it. Paddle’s checkout loads from paddle.com only when you click Buy, and it may set its own cookies.
Why we use data, and on what basis
To give you what you asked for — a trial, a licence, the download, an answer — we use your details to perform our agreement with you. We use the fingerprint of your Mac and the licence records to keep licences working and to stop misuse, which is our legitimate interest. We keep order records because tax and accounting law requires it.
How long we keep it
Website requests are kept until they are answered and are deleted on request. Licence records — the licence, a fingerprint of its key, the Macs it is active on and its history — are kept while the licence exists and deleted on request after it ends, except order records that accounting law requires us to keep. Nothing about your meetings is ever stored with us.
Who else handles it
Our service providers: Railway hosts this website; Cloudflare provides the domain, protection, the licence server and its database; Paddle processes orders and payments as our reseller. Some of them process data outside Ukraine and the European Economic Area; where the law requires it, these transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. Write to [email protected]; we answer within one month. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Connections are encrypted, licence keys are stored only as fingerprints, and leases are signed so they cannot be forged. Only we can reach the licence records.
Your choices
You can delete any meeting in the app at any time. To have your request or other details removed, write to us at the address below.
